Welcome!
Uncle Howie, Uncle Larry and Aunt Gloria Zeitz take great pride and pleasure in welcoming our campers, staff and parents to our 55th camp season.

ACA ACCREDITED
ACA ACCREDITED (American Camp Association) We are very proud of our association with ACA, the excellence of our camp and our accredited status.
An American Camp Association evaluation team visited and re-evaluated Willow Grove Day Camp. We, again, received the highest accreditation rating in all aspects of camp life.

Pictures
Picture day for your child's group will be announced. You will be able to view the picture on your personal computer. Camp uniforms are to be worn on that day.
Pictures of absentees will be taken on a day to be announced
Swim Level
To expedite the placement of your child in the appropriate instruction group, have him/her give the counselor a copy of the last American Red Cross card issued.
Swimming progress will be communicated throughout the summer.
WILLOW GROVE DAY CAMP IS GOING GREEN
All further Newsletters will be emailed and available on our website. Please be sure that we have a current email address for your family. We ask that you please do not use your email as correspondence during the 8 weeks of camp.
Call the office with any questions or concerns you may have, including early dismissal for your camper.
EXTENDED HOURS/TRANSPORTATION CHANGES/EARLY PICKUPS
Please call the office early in the morning if you plan to pick up your child(ren) early that day. Contact the camp office in advance of any changes to your child's transportation
routine. Any camper who is picked up early (before 3:00 p.m. please), must be signed out. Extended hours campers must be signed in and signed out with extended hours staff.
Transportation requests can only be made through the camp office and only in the event of an emergency - NOT FOR PLAY DAYS.
ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S WEEKLY SCHEDULE
You will find your child's group number, cabin number, counselor's name and phone number on the weekly roster. We urge that you call your child's counselor to discuss your child
before the first day of camp. GROUP ASSIGNMENT - Check your child's group roster for his/her counselor's name, phone number and group number. You can then identify your visiting
day(s) and/or twilight parties. Parents please read the Parent Handbook.
ABOUT A HEALTHY DIET AND CAMP
Most Camp Directors have a background in Education/Health and Physical Education and are as familiar with good eating habits as anyone. We try to find a balance between what
children like and what they should eat. Parents are asked to help us by NOT sending sweet treats to camp with their youngsters

Twilight Parties
The Twilight party begins with an after-camp swim. Dinner and a twilight activity follow with emphasis on the participation of all campers.
Supervision is provided by the senior and junior counselors and members of the administrative staff. In the event of inclement whether, the camp may postpone this event. If you have a question about a possible postponement,
call the camp office.
Please pick your campers at 7:30pm. Carpooling is suggested. Please be prompt!

Visiting Day hours: 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. (End of 4th Period)
We cordially invite the parents of our campers to visit camp on one assigned day during
the camp season. The purpose of this visit is to observe your child during regular camp activities. Parents
with more than one child enrolled may visit all of their children on one official visiting day, if they wish.
Parents of CITs may visit on any of the listed visiting days.
If you are unable to attend your child's assigned visiting day, you may attend any of the other scheduled visiting days or contact the camp office
to schedule a visit.
